The Woodstock Garden Club held their September meeting at the home of Barbara Schelhammer. Lenore Beyer-Clow and Ed Collins of "Friends of Hackmatack" presented information on the proposed Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge would preserve land and natural habitats in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin that are home to threatened and endangered species of plants and wildlife.
